  • Buying links ~ you can’t buy true love and you can’t buy quality links. Linking is an organic process that involves reciprocal links between two sites supporting a common theme. This benefits both sites ~ giving them quality inbound and outbound links based again, on a common theme. Buying links so you don’t have to reciprocate merely puts money in the pocket of the other website owner. It doesn’t guarantee that your link won’t end up on a nondescript page that never saw the light of day, which is usually what happens. Buying a link is not the same as buying quality advertising space.
  • Buying keywords, or relying on out of the box automatic keyword or SEO generating products ~ again, this may work for you temporarily, however in the end this practice will end up costing you dearly in traffic and search engine visibility. Title tags are exactly that ~ a brief title of the image, using a few keywords that have relevance to the image and to the page. Used irresponsibly, they are great tools for keyword stuffing.
