In my first post in my new business blog, I spoke of how nice it was coming design wise and how closely it matched my eBay store and how I was going to do the website over to match.
Then I ditched the template I’d originally chosen and found another that was a dream.
I went one better. I carefully brought over all the pages from my website to this content management system and heavily customized my chosen template to make a fully functional website out of it but keep the blogging capabilities. The CMS I was using just wasn’t my cup of tea although I had successfully mastered the ins and outs of it, it just didn’t cut it for my preferences and likes.
This, on the other hand, is absolutely perfect.
It’s the perfect solution and is exactly the thing I was looking for.
It took me quite a few days to find just the right template, and try it out. I must’ve gone through easily 20 templates, all of which I partially customized, before this one, which looks nothing like the original because I so heavily customized it. I usually think nothing of taking that sort of time for my design clients, not myself.
I’m glad I finally did because I’m very happy with the outcome!
I decided it was a smidge TOO pink, so changed it to “thistle” which was still too pink, to a final color called “old lace”. MUCH better! Still soft on the eyes without being too girly and pink! LOL
